Our Philosophy

Dr. Laurence Rheingold realizes that the decision to have cosmetic surgery may entail apprehension and worry for many of his patients. His approach starts, therefore, with a detailed and caring explanation to each patient, so that he can address every issue right up front. He spends a considerable amount of time during the consultation visit answering questions and reviewing all aspects of a patient’s desired procedure.

Using photographs of his previous patients, Dr. Rheingold shows his new patients the results of others who underwent a similar procedure. This way, the patient can develop realistic expectations about what the anticipated surgery can provide. Dr. Rheingold also discusses the recovery process, including how long it will take and what surgical scars (if any) to expect. Oftentimes, former patients who have had a similar surgery are asked to call the prospective patient to provide further reassurance and to answer some questions.

Dr. Rheingold prefers to do all of his surgery in a hospital setting, with board certified anesthesiologists providing the necessary anesthetic care, so he can devote himself entirely to the operative procedure. Dr. Rheingold is privileged to operate at 3 different area hospitals, so there is ample opportunity for privacy and to schedule procedures at a convenient time. After surgery, Dr. Rheingold makes sure that he is always available for the patient during the immediate post-operative period.
