Tattoo Removal – Cape Cod, Needham, Wareham

Dr. Rheingold uses a pulse dye laser, a common treatment method, for removing tattoos in Cape Cod. The laser light beam penetrates the skin and is quickly absorbed by the pigment in the tattoo. This high energy light beam causes some of the colored pigment to break up into tiny particles, which is then absorbed by the body. The resultant effect is a lightening and then a disappearance of the colored tattoo.

In Cape Cod, the tattoo removal process can take multiple treatments, and the results will often vary considerably, depending upon the number and type of colors in the tattoo and the depth of the tattoo in the skin. In general, self-styled India ink tattoos respond more easily and quickly to laser treatment than the more complicated, multicolored professional tattoos.

Often, the tattoo may not be completely gone, but it will be significantly diminished in its visibility. Other methods may be used in Cape Cod to remove tattoos, such as surgical excision with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Rheingold. However, surgical methods will leave permanent scars. When placed skillfully by Dr. Rheingold, surgical excision scars may be more acceptable than the original tattoo.
