Chemical Peel – Cape Cod, Needham, Wareham
A chemical peel in Cape Cod is a procedure in which an acid solution is used to improve the deep lines, wrinkles, and areas of pigmentation on the face by removing the surface epithelium. Dr. Rheingold uses a variety of acid solutions, including phenol, trichloracetic acid, and alphahydroxy acids. Each of these solutions has particular advantages and can be adjusted for a person’s particular skin resurfacing needs.
Dr. Rheingold performs all of these procedures during an outpatient office visit in Cape Cod. They are all relatively painless. Occasionally, they can be combined with other surgical procedures, such as a brow lift or blepharoplasty. Most commonly, they are part of an overall skin care program that will be started before the chemical peel. Healing after a chemical peel takes about 2 to 3 weeks.
