CHIN OR CHEEK IMPLANT
Synthetic materials such as silicone or proplast are often utilized to enhance under-developed areas such as cheek bones or the chin. The surgery involves making a small skin incision and placing the synthetic material over the zygoma bone of the cheek to create slightly more prominent or defined cheek bone. Similarly, for an under-developed chin a small implant can be placed in this site to give more projection or prominence. The synthetic implants are well tolerated by the body and remain in place indefinitely.
